Workshop Wrench

Platform

Integrations — ports and adapters, not a logo wall

Workshop systems should own jobs and estimates, then connect outward. We ship REST OpenAPI now and stage accounting, payments, SMS, parts, and webhooks with honest Live / Stub / Dry-run / Planned labels. AU peers (MechanicDesk, Workshop Software) set the bar on native Xero + Repco/Burson; US cloud (Shopmonkey, Tekmetric) leads on QBO, PartsTech, and text-to-pay packaging. We label gaps, we do not invent “connected” theatre.

Live

Production path available in the demo or with standard env config.

Dry-run

Payloads stage and can dry-run push; no remote side effect by default. Gated live path may exist in code without marketing as Connected.

Stub

Adapter shell or mock provider — not a live partner connection. May go live when keys are configured (still labeled honestly).

Planned

Port/design ready or sequenced; no live driver claimed.

Badges match API catalog truth. Stubs are never labeled Connected.

GTM sequencing

AU day-one bar vs US later

Competitive necessity for Australian independents first. US accounting and parts marketplaces come after the AU stack is honest and working — not as fake day-one logos.

AU day-one bar

What AU peers (MechanicDesk, Workshop Software) make table stakes — our sequence, not a claim of parity today.

  • Xero path

Stage + dryRunPush today; gated sandbox live push next. Never Connected until remote proof.

    Dry-run
  • Repco / Burson adapters

AU catalog ports + N61 shell connected:false — not live Repco Navigator or EzyParts punch-out.

    Planned
  • SMS (approvals & reminders)

sms_mock by default; Twilio when keys are set. Portal deep links are the decision surface.

    Stub
  • Pay-link / text-to-pay path

Payment records Live; Stripe shop Checkout stub without keys, live when configured. Portal pay expanding — not fake live.

    Stub
  • GST operational invoices

Tax invoices + AR from the RO. Books of record stay in Xero/MYOB.

    Live

US later

Expansion markets after AU accounting and parts paths are real — QBO and PartsTech are sequenced, not day-one claims.

  • QuickBooks Online (QBO)

US-first peers lead here. We ship Xero before QBO; no QBO Connected claim.

    Planned
  • PartsTech

US parts marketplace after AU Repco/Burson F5. Stub driver only if keyed — never live PartsTech marketing.

    Planned
  • US text-to-pay packaging bar

Shopmonkey / Tekmetric / AutoLeap set the UX bar. Our path expands from portal approve + Stripe Checkout — labeled Stub / expanding until proven.

    Planned

Differentiators in progress

DVI, portal approve, and text-to-pay path as one money story

US leaders package SMS + pay tightly; AU peers win on Xero and parts. Wrench ships the operational spine live and stages collection + accounting honestly — text-to-pay and portal pay are path / expanding, not fake live.

DVI → portal approve → money path

Findings on the RO convert to estimate lines; token portal approve / decline / defer is live. Text-to-pay and portal pay are an expanding collection path (Stripe Checkout Stub without keys; live when configured) — not marketed as fully live pay today.

OpenAPI + tenant isolation

Swagger on the API host; every business row carries tenantId. Multi-agent / multi-tenant demo logins prove isolation — rare in closed SaaS pitch decks.

AU-first GST, Xero-first direction

GST invoices live today. Xero is Dry-run (stage + dryRunPush, staged OAuth shell) with a gated live-push path — ahead of most US-only QBO narratives, still behind MechanicDesk native Xero until sandbox proof ships. Never badge Dry-run as Connected.

Catalog

Adapter map

Every row is Live, Stub, Dry-run, or Planned — aligned with GET /v1/integrations/catalog. Stubs are never labeled Connected.
